It seemed to me that for the interpretation of the statue of Mary is very important famous Sumerian text, which describes the seven items of clothing, and attributes that the goddess was preparing for long-distance travel. This headdress SHUGARRA, pendants for measurements in the ears, a necklace of small blue stones on neck, double "stones" on the shoulders, the straps that cover the chest, and swift body clothing fell. In the hands she holds the object, which scholars translate the title as the "gold cylinder, or a golden ring." 
At first glance, all this is consistent with the details of the statue of Mary, but for sure I need more accurate and detailed photos. The statue was stored in Syria, in the archaeological museum of the city of Aleppo. So I wrote a letter to the leadership of the museum to send photos, warning that their pay and reimbursed the cost of all other expenses. 
To my profound surprise - honestly, I did not expect to get an answer from Aleppo - the museum was kind of a letter signed by the Director, Mr Nazim Jabr. This was in June 1975. I remember all these details, because the letter from Mr Dzharbi came in envelopes with stamps, which were exhibited in the museum depicts the statue of Aleppo, and I kept these envelopes. The Director reports to me how much it will cost each picture, and wondered what other museum exhibits of interest to me. 
After a couple of months after the exchange of several letters I received photos of not only statues of the goddess, and other artifacts, most of the pictures I have returned, but left to pay. By increasing their making accurate sketches, I finally saw that İnan / Ishtar was depicted in the image of flying goddess, and that the hose is part of the suit the pilot and not a device for pumping water. I prefer to look at the statue itself, but because of the war in the Middle East, this was impossible. Therefore, in my first book "The Twelfth Planet" statue was described only from photographs.
